“As for provocations, they are satisfied with an aggressive Russophobic minority with active involvement by the US, who are observers in the Council of Europe,” said the Foreign Minister in an interview with the newspaper Arguments and Facts.
According to him, this darkens the atmosphere in the assembly and does not contribute to the establishment of constructive work.
“However, the senseless antics have already set the edge on the sensible majority of PACE members who support Russia’s return to the fold of this parliamentary structure,” Lavrov stressed.
He pointed out that this is evidenced by the decision to restore the powers of the Russian delegation.
Earlier in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe told about the expectations of the return of Russia. In particular, we are talking about the issue of Ukrainian seamen, as well as the payment of contributions.
