In an interview with the newspaper Argumenty i Fakty, he noted that the relationship between the authorities and the opposition is an internal affair of Georgia, and Russia is not going to interfere in this process.

“However, we cannot but be disturbed by the attempts of some radical-minded representatives of the Georgian political elite to incite Russophobic attitudes, to embroil our peoples,” Lavrov said.

He doubted that such figures are thinking about the damage they cause by their actions to their own country.
