Strasbourg (AFP) The son of a Frenchman who fell in the ranks of the Wehrmacht has sued Germany for compensation. "Germany refuses to compensate us in the same way as German orphans," said the Alsace-born Gérard Michel on Tuesday AFP news agency. He had filed with the prosecutor of Strasbourg for crimes against humanity, because his father and his uncle in 1944 and 1943 were forced into the Wehrmacht.
