A group of four Australian children stole a car and drove 900 kilometers on the east coast of the country. Aged 10 to 14, they were found by the Australian police on Monday, July 15th.

It was aboard an SUV stolen from one of their parents that four young Australians went on an adventure last Saturday with the only baggage of fishing rods. The four friends, three boys aged 14 and 13 and a 10-year-old girl, traveled more than 900 kilometers in two days along the east coast of Australia. One of them had left a note to his parents to warn them of his departure.

The car was first seen on Sunday at around 4am at a gas station, where the children filled up, without paying. The adventure ended Sunday evening. The police officers had to intervene by force: the children had locked themselves in the car and refused to leave.

The reasons for this expedition remain for the moment a mystery. We do not know who drove the vehicle either. According to the police, it is very likely that they shared the driving because the road was long.
