Finland's Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) defeated his British teammate Lewis Hamilton 6/1000 only to claim the pole position of the British Grand Prix, the 10th round of the F1 season on Saturday at Silverstone.
Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) signed the third qualifying round at 79/1000 just from Bottas. He will share the second line on Sunday with Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull). German Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) has to settle for the sixth time.
