Germany: Public prosecutor Mainz accuses SPD Bundestag members because of infidelity

Mainz (AFP) The public prosecutor Mainz has brought charges against the former mayor of the city Oppenheim and SPD member of the Bundestag Marcus Held among other things because of infidelity, bribery and advantage acceptance. Held, two executives of a brokerage firm and the CEO of a demolition company were indicted, the investigators announced on Friday. The SPD in Rhineland-Palatinate called on Held to resign from his mandate and threatened with recourse claims.
