The deputy and unfortunate candidate for the investiture of LREM for the municipal elections of Paris, Cédric Villani, "will not vote on a support" to Benjamin Griveaux, invested by the National Commission of investiture (CNI) of the party, "before September, "announced Thursday evening his entourage to AFP.

"He will make an appointment in September, and let himself be in the summer to consult his entourage and his friends," added the same source, assuring that "all this does not question the support of Mr. Villani to action of the President of the Republic ".

Wednesday, Benjamin Griveaux explained that his "mission now is to gather a collective, a team to win the Parisians," assuring Cédric Villani he had "all his place" in his team.

The day after this appointment, the two men had not yet spoken on the phone to discuss the continuation of the campaign and the role that could play the Fields medalist, learned AFP from concordant sources.

The disappointed candidate denounces a "political apparatus (which) dysfunctions", and wants "to be the guarantor of the DNA of En Marche, based on the renewal of faces but also practices," added his entourage to AFP.

The day before, Villani did not hide his disappointment, before the official announcement of the CNI, regretting on Twitter that "what was announced for a long time (is) now acquired: it is clear that I will not get investiture of the LREM device ". One of the members of the CNI, Senator Alain Richard, had called him to "recover".
