This second quarter-final between Nigeria and South Africa seems at first sight very unbalanced, and yet the whole hierarchy is questioned in this CAN. Winners on the line of Cameroon in the eighth, Nigerians will be wary of Bafana Bafana who managed to eliminate Egypt who played at home. This meeting is to be followed live from 19 UT this Wednesday 10 July.

Few people had to imagine themselves returning to South Africa at this stage of the competition, and yet ... The Bafana Bafana, aptly qualified for the eighth, have managed the feat of getting Egypt out of its CAN at home. Even if their game is not flamboyant, we must be wary of these South Africans now with full confidence. Nigeria's quarter-final presence was more predictable, but the Super Eagles course was not easy! The men of Gernot Rohr had to get rid of Cameroon in eighth when they were led to the score.
