“Of course, the HRO will monitor this situation. We expect this error to be quickly corrected, ”the head of the HRC Mikhail Fedotov told RIA Novosti.

He noted that according to the Helsinki Act, such actions are “absolutely unacceptable”, while the document requires the parties to provide support to foreign correspondents.

“As this is done at the state level, and not at the public level, they are obliged to comply with obligations under the Helsinki agreements,” Fedotov said.

Earlier, the organizers of the Global Press Freedom Conference, scheduled for July 10–11 in London, refused to accredit Sputnik.

They noted that the application for accreditation was not satisfied due to the reason for “Jenny recommendation”.

In addition, the British Foreign Office denied RT accreditation to a press freedom conference. In the Foreign Ministry, the channel said: "Sorry, there are no places."

Then the chief editor of RT Margarita Simonyan commented on the situation.

“We were denied accreditation to the“ global conference on press freedom, ”which is being held by the British Foreign Office. ChTDD, ”she wrote on Twitter.

Later, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented ironically on the decision of her British colleagues.
