New twist in the African Nations Cup of Nations: Egypt's Mohamed Salah, host country and seven-time winner of the competition, was ousted in the knockout stages by South Africa, 1-0, Saturday in Cairo.
After Morocco eliminated by Benin Friday and Cameroon title holder, beaten early in the evening by Nigeria, it is a new favorite who falls to the CAN. The South Africans won with a Thembinkosi Lorch goal in the 85th minute.
