The servicemen of one of the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to leave their positions at the line of contact with the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic. This was stated by the officer of the press service of the people's police LNR Ivan Filiponenko.

“The intelligence units of the People’s Militia revealed the abandonment of leading positions by the servicemen of the 14th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Sokolniki. This is happening, first of all, due to the lack of personnel at the front line, the lack of elementary support, as well as poor living conditions, ”said the representative of Lugansk.

Filiponenko also said that the leadership of the Combined Forces (EP) operation of Ukraine is taking measures to return soldiers to the front line, and the commanders of the 14th brigade were called to the headquarters, who allowed them to leave the line of contact.

According to the representative of the people's militia of the LPR, the Ukrainian soldiers in the Donbass have a low level of moral and psychological condition.

“The level of the moral and psychological state of the military personnel of Ukraine in the zone of the so-called EP, remains at a low level. This is due to the incessant drunkenness and, as a consequence, the growth of non-combat losses, ”Filiponenko emphasized.

"Increased the intensity of the shelling"

In the LC, they emphasize that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to build up forces along the line of contact. With similar statements repeatedly made in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic. Thus, in early June, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that after Vladimir Zelensky came to power in Ukraine, the number of shelling had only increased.

“Shelling from Ukraine, I recall, has increased since the arrival of the new president of Zelensky,” he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

In particular, the DPR noted a sharp increase in shelling during the visit of the commander of the British ground forces Carlton Smith to the 30th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the deputy head of the people's militia department of the DPR, Eduard Basurin, in this way, the Ukrainian Armed Forces sought to demonstrate their readiness to continue fighting in the Donbas.

“During his stay in the zone of responsibility of the brigade in the Gorlovka region, more than 100 artillery shells and mines were fired,” Basurin said.

According to him, as a result, eight houses were damaged, a 13-year-old girl was injured.

Moreover, the Ukrainian Armed Forces also announced the seizure of buffer areas in the Donetsk region. The representative of the 24th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Nazar Ilnitsky argued that the Ukrainian military were entrenched in the village of Marinka. According to him, thanks to this, the Kiev forces are located 100-250 meters from Donetsk.

The DNR denied the information about the promotion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but noted that the shelling by the Ukrainian military really increased.

“The fact that the Ukrainian armed forces have increased the intensity of the shelling, I confirm - this is so. They are not moving into the depths of Marinka, ”the Donetsk-based Basurin news agency quotes.

At the same time, the source of the RT in the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Ukrainian military is moving further and further, but they are doing it trying not to attract attention.

“This is done deliberately so as not to attract much public attention to this process, so as not to cause chaos and panic. The purpose of this strategic - to create a springboard for further seizure of territory. The military say that they can already take Gorlovka in three days without any problems. Only an order is needed, ”the source told RT.

Conflict resolution

According to Pushilin, Ukraine is not ready for the peace process and dialogue with the self-proclaimed republics.

“The fact that Ukraine is not ready for dialogue, we feel on ourselves. The large-caliber shells, which the Ukrainian armed forces send us, unequivocally say that Zelensky is unable to somehow influence the radicals, ”he said.

At the same time, Zelensky and his team declare that they intend to return the Donbass to their control using the “information weapon”.

It is worth noting that the majority of Ukrainian citizens support compromise solutions to end the conflict in the country. Thus, according to a study by the Social Monitoring Center, the Oleksandr Yaremenko Ukrainian Institute for Social Research and the Rating group, 65% agree to concessions to end the conflict.

It is noteworthy that 54% of the respondents would support a direct dialogue with the authorities of the self-proclaimed republics. At the same time, Vladimir Zelensky said earlier that he was not ready to negotiate in this format.

In addition, almost half of all respondents agree on the autonomy of the DPR and the LPR, if this allows the conflict to end. Such a scenario in Kiev was also repeatedly called unacceptable.

Commenting on the settlement issue in the Donbass, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that Kiev should conduct a direct dialogue with Donetsk and Lugansk, and also abide by its commitments under the Minsk agreements.

“As for solving the problems of Donbass ... without direct dialogue and without the implementation of the Minsk agreements by the Ukrainian authorities, this problem cannot be solved effectively,” he said during a direct line on June 20.
