Forward Jonathan Bamba, injured Tuesday in Cesena during the match between the France Espoirs team and England at the Euro (2-1), is forfeited for the rest of the tournament, announced Wednesday the French Football Federation .

Bamba was tackled in the open by British midfielder Choudhury, logically sanctioned with a penalty and a red card.

Touched on the left ankle, he was out on a stretcher and went to the hospital for tests. He did other things on Wednesday morning.

"The results revealed a ligament injury of the ankle, without fracture. It is forfeit for the rest of the competition," writes the FFF in a statement.

The coach Sylvain Ripoll had already had to deprive himself of his usual captain Abdou Diallo, who programmed a surgery just before the tournament, and striker Martin Terrier, who contracted mumps and was replaced in preparation by Marcus Thuram.
