"At the Sheremetyevo airport ... the Minister of Forestry of the Irkutsk Region, Sergei Sheverda, was detained," the report says
According to the UK, Sheverda was detained on suspicion of committing a crime, provided for by paragraph. “C” of Part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Excess of official authority, committed with grave consequences").
Earlier, the Investigation Committee detained the former governor of the Ivanovo region Pavel Konkov in connection with a criminal case on corruption.
It was noted that the official, as well as the managing director of Ivanovo Broiler, Dmitry Grishin, is suspected of embezzling 700 million rubles.
