The ECHR on Tuesday rejected the request of Vincent Lambert's parents, who wanted to overturn the decision of the Council of State, which had validated the termination of their son's care.

The European Court of Human Rights on Tuesday rejected the request of Vincent Lambert's parents against the decision of the Council of State which had validated last week the decision to stop the care of their son, in a vegetative state since 10 years.

The ECHR "refused requests for interim measures that were presented to him, namely to suspend the execution of the judgment of the Council of State of 24 April 2019 and pronounce a ban on leaving the territory of Vincent Lambert", she announced in a statement.
