Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General for Syria Geir Pedersen confirmed his participation in the negotiations on Syria in Nur-Sultan. This was announced by the Director of the Asia and Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Tumatov.
“I confirmed my participation, we are awaiting it,” RIA Novosti quotes a diplomat.
As noted in the Foreign Ministry, the Syrian opposition also intends to come to the meeting.
The next round of talks on Syria in Nur-Sultan is scheduled for April 25-26.
