The State Department urged US citizens to leave Venezuela

This is stated in a message posted on Twitter departments.

"American citizens living in Venezuela or going there should seriously consider the option of leaving the country," - says the text.

In Venezuela, anti-government marches are taking place, as well as demonstrations of supporters of the current government.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, said that her office had received information about the detention of more than 350 participants in protest actions.
