A spokesman for the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Priest Alexander Volkov, in an interview with TASS, commented on the situation regarding the suspension of the renaming of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
“In the current unpredictable political situation in Ukraine, this rather positive decision can be taken with restrained optimism, hoping that it will be implemented,” he said.
Earlier, a court in Kiev suspended the procedure for renaming the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
