Earlier, the Vatican expressed its readiness to provide expert support in restoring the burnt-out Notre Dame de Paris.
Architecture historian Boris Bocharnikov, in an interview with RT, expressed the opinion that it would be very difficult to restore the steeple and parts of the decor of the Parisian cathedral that had been lost during the fire.
The fire in Notre Dame Cathedral began on the evening of April 15th. The firemen managed to put out the fire only in the morning of the next day.
