Terrorism: head of Sri Lankan police must go after attacks

Colombo (dpa) - Due to serious mistakes in the dissemination of information before the attacks in Sri Lanka, the police chief and a high-ranking official of the Ministry of Defense have to vacate their posts there. President Maithripala Sirisena ordered her to file layoffs, his office said. The reason given was that information from foreign intelligence services on plans for attacks had not been disclosed to him. In the suicide bombings on Easter Sunday, 359 people died, there were more than 400 injured.
