New talks are planned between the new military leaders and the leaders of the Sudan contestation over the transfer of power to a civilian authority. This was announced Saturday night a leader of the protest on public television after a meeting with the Transitional Military Council in power.

Representatives of the popular protest movement made a point of publicly communicating the meeting that took place on Saturday night with the military authorities. They recalled that the establishment of a civilian government was their priority, that negotiations were ongoing and would continue in the future.

If the protesters obtained the dismissal of President Omar al-Bashir on April 11, they now want the Transitional Military Council to transfer power to a civilian government. The Sudanese Professionals Association, at the head of the protest movement, is working on a list of civilian figures it would like to see take over the country's affairs.

An undisclosed list for the moment but which would give pride to qualified technocrats according to representatives of the organization. While the demonstrations began in December for economic reasons, the mobilization is now eminently political.
