Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka's government prohibits concealment of the face for the time being

TIME ONLINE | News, backgrounds and debates

Colombo (AFP) In Sri Lanka, people are no longer allowed to cover their faces after the series of attacks on Easter Sunday in public. Head of State Maithripala Sirisena justified the measure in force on Monday with "national security". No one should cover his face and make it difficult to identify. The ban is based on the declared state of emergency after the attacks.
