Colombo (AFP) Initial investigations into the devastating attacks in Sri Lanka with at least 310 deaths indicate, according to the government, a "retaliation" for the attack on two mosques in New Zealand. "Preliminary investigations have revealed that what happened in Sri Lanka was retaliation for the attack on Muslims in Christchurch," Deputy Defense Minister Ruwan Wijewardene said on Tuesday in parliament. An Australian right-wing extremist killed 50 people in Christchurch in mid-March.
