On Easter morning, there is a sparkling smoke rising from the serene city church. People who have been hurt or injured among falling pieces and bloody stools are carried away without hesitation.

A total of eight explosions took place today in one of the Catholic churches in the capital of Sri Lanka, three in the hotel, and in nearby Negombo and the eastern Batticaloa church.

[Nishapta / hotel security guard: There was the first explosion about 8:10. Soon after the second explosion, all the windows were broken.]

The church where the explosion took place was filled with believers because of Easter. The hotel was also a 5 star with a lot of foreign visitors, which caused a lot of casualties.

According to media, the counts are slightly different, but to date, nearly 160 people have been killed and more than 400 are injured.

[Shishira / Doctor: I was informed that a big explosion had happened and I went to the church by an ambulance. I moved the injured people to the hospital.]

The hospital became confused as people rushed to identify emergency patients and their families.

[Foreigner looking for family: (Who is in the hospital?) My wife and son.]

More than 1,000 people live in Sri Lanka, and about 400 of them live in the metropolitan area.

The Korean Embassy in Sri Lanka has confirmed that it has not suffered damage to the people so far.
