Rospotrebnadzor cites number of schools closed due to influenza and SARS
In the territory of Russia, more than 3.8 thousand schools and more than 1 thousand kindergartens were completely closed last week in order to prevent SARS and flu.
This informs RIA Novosti with reference to the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova.
She said that currently children mostly aged between 3 and 6 and from 7 to 14 years are ill.
According to her, continues to take measures to interrupt the epidemic process.
“Last week, 3839 schools and 1078 kindergartens were completely closed,” Popova informed.
She added that the children were transferred to distance learning.
Earlier, the Udmurtia news agency reported that the epidemic threshold for ARVI in Udmurtia was exceeded by 34.3%.
