As noted, the head of state expressed his condolences in connection with the fire in Notre Dame, calling it an invaluable treasure of European and world culture and one of the most important Christian shrines.
“Putin expressed the hope that the great cathedral could be restored and suggested sending the best Russian specialists to France, who have extensive experience in restoring monuments of the world cultural heritage, including works of medieval architecture,” the message said.
The President stressed that the tragedy that occurred in Paris, responded with pain in the hearts of Russians.
Earlier it was reported that the fire in the cathedral was completely extinguished.
A major fire in the Cathedral of Notre Dame began on the evening of April 15th. The spire collapsed, the bearing structure was enveloped in flame.
