Duisburg (dpa) - At the Duisburg district court today begins the trial of a 43-year-old who forced many of his children to work in his illegal marijuana plantation. The prosecution accuses the defendant of having beaten and threatened the children with weapons. He is said to have repeatedly banned the children from attending school, a court spokeswoman said. In addition, a sexual act on a child under 14 is charged. The drug plantation is said to have operated the man from 2015 to July 2018.
