The decision was taken at the session of the city council.
"It was decided to suspend Andrei Filonov from the post of head of the administration of the city of Evpatoria in connection with the application of measures of procedural coercion in the form of detention on the basis of a decision of the Kiev district court of the city of Simferopol," the city council press service reports.
It clarifies that this decision will remain in force until the elimination of the circumstances that were the basis for removal from office.
Temporary execution of the powers of the head of the administration of Evpatoria is entrusted to Roman Tihonchuk.
On April 3, the FSB opened a criminal case against Filonov under the article “Excess of office with serious consequences”. Later, a second criminal case was opened against him.
