Leipzig (dpa) - The Leipzig Book Fair has attracted more visitors than in the previous year. As the fair announced on Sunday, a total of 286,000 guests came to the fairgrounds and the associated festival "Leipzig reads". That was 15,000 more than 2018. At that time, a onset of winter and rail chaos had reduced the number of visitors to 271,000. Since Thursday, 2547 exhibitors had presented novelties around the book in 46 countries. The host country was Czech Republic this time. In 2020, the Leipzig Book Fair will be held from 12 to 15 March.
