It is noted that when a tree fell on a private house in Woodville in Florida, two children were injured - an eight-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy.
The girl later died in hospital as a result of her injuries.
According to the latest data, the disaster also led to the death of three people in Mississippi and one woman in Alabama.
It is specified that the hurricane affected 24 states, including Georgia, South and North Carolina and Virginia.
Earlier it was reported that during a tornado in the states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama eight people were killed.
