“Ukraine under the current regime breaks ties with Russia. It is clear that she is trying to get out from wherever possible. At the same time, it cannot do it to the end. As for withdrawing from the agreement, this is not good for Kiev. Ukrainians themselves consciously limit their opportunities, communication not only with Russia, but also with other heads of the CIS. This is stupid, but it’s important for them, ”said Zatulin.

The deputy noted that the decision of Ukraine is not surprising, "because it happens during the pre-election period."

Earlier, the government of Ukraine unilaterally terminated the agreement on the establishment of a consultative economic working commission under the Council of Heads of State and the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS.

The agreement was signed on October 9, 1992 in Bishkek between the CIS countries.
