“Of course, there is no talk of any support for Ukraine. The point is to annoy Russia as much as possible. For its part, Moscow is no longer responding to sanctions. When such things are put on stream, they become simply uninteresting to study. The reason for them now is also completely ridiculous, ”said the senator.
According to him, the attempts of the EU and the US to impose sanctions due to the incident in the Kerch Strait can be perceived by Ukrainians as encouraging aggression.
“Ukraine can begin to feel its impunity, the support of other countries. But, in which case, they will all step back and Kiev will have to answer for its actions to Russia and its people. All this Euro-Atlantic solidarity is absolutely imaginary, ”concluded Jabarov.
Earlier, the media, citing sources, reported that the EU and the US are working on new anti-Russian sanctions because of the incident in the Kerch Strait.
The British Foreign Office has officially confirmed the preparation of new sanctions measures.
