Finance: DGB: Sanctions violate minimum wage harder

Berlin (dpa) - The German Trade Union Confederation insists on tougher penalties for violations of the minimum wage. "Employers who do not abide by the rules should no longer receive public contracts in the future," said DGB board member Stefan Körzell the newspapers of the Funke media group. This must also apply to cases in which not the actual contractor, but his subcontractors undercut the minimum wage. In order to be able to control more effectively, the customs need more personnel as quickly as possible.
