Strasbourg (AFP) Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has had to listen to unusually massive criticism in the European Parliament. Representatives of several factions blamed the ruling coalition of the right-wing populist Lega and the Europe-critical Five-Star Movement (M5S) during a nearly three-hour debate on Tuesday for further deteriorating economic conditions in Italy. The national debt is high, there is no growth, said the leader of the Christian Democratic European People's Party (EPP), Manfred Weber (CSU). "That's your responsibility."
