EU: European Parliament names buildings after Helmut Kohl

Strasbourg (AP) - Helmut Kohl is named after a Brussels building of the European Parliament. The Bureau of Parliament decided to designate an office building on Square de Meeûs in the Belgian capital after the deceased Chancellor. Kohl had brought the German association to a conclusion and successfully campaigned for the introduction of the common currency euro, it was justified. Another building is to be named after the Austrian writer Stefan Zweig, who opposed all forms of nationalism.
