Elections: Ex-governor wants to dispute Trump's candidacy

Washington (dpa) - Former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld wants to challenge President Donald Trump's Republican candidacy in the 2020 election. Weld told CNN that he would be campaigning for his party's presidential election in November next year. The 73-year-old is the first Republican to challenge Trump. Welds chances are likely to stand badly: According to polls by the pollster Gallup Trump enjoys Republican supporters for months around 90 percent approval.
