Dresden (AP) - The Vietnamese Kim Phuc Phan Thi has received the 10th International Dresden Peace Prize. The association Friends of Dresden honors the commitment of the 55-year-olds for reconciliation and forgiveness. A photo from the Vietnam War of 1972 shows her after a napalm attack on her village as a young girl - nude, screaming and heavily drawn. She was dedicated to forgiveness, not hatred, said Gerhart Baum of Friends of Dresden. The award-winning image helped change the attitude of the US people toward the Vietnam War.
