The Sri Lankan government has declared a state of emergency while the number of fatal blasts in Sri Lanka has increased to 290.

Police said at least 290 people were killed and more than 500 wounded in the blast.

It was reported that more than 37 foreigners were among the dead.

Behind the terrorism, the local radical Islamist organization NTJ, National Tauhit Zamart, has been identified and the government has declared an emergency due to concerns about additional terrorism.
