A new commander of the Black Sea Fleet appointed


Vice-Admiral Igor Osipov was appointed the new commander of the Black Sea Fleet. The relevant decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin was read out by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at a conference call.

According to RIA Novosti, Vice-Admiral Alexander Moiseyev was appointed commander of the Northern Fleet.

Earlier it became known that Admiral Nikolai Evmenov was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy.
