An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale occurred at about 5:10 pm local time yesterday, about 1km away from Luzon Somgutad in the Philippines.

The vibration in the capital Manila, which is 60 kilometers away from the epicenter, was felt.

Buildings in major business districts were shaken, causing thousands of citizens to evacuate urgently.
