A mass brawl took place on the evening of February 14, next to a cafe on 1st Kuryanovskaya Street in Moscow’s Pechatniki district.

According to the ministry, the conflict occurred on a domestic basis, about 20 people took part in it. As a result of the incident, one person suffered, he was released after receiving medical assistance.

“On February 14, 2019, at 22:40, about a cafe located on 1st Kuryanovskaya Street, there was a conflict between about 20 citizens, presumably on domestic soil. During the incident, unidentified persons fired shots from traumatic weapons. As a result, one man received bodily injuries, after providing medical care, was released, and mechanical damage was inflicted on a foreign-made vehicle, ”added the Department of the Interior Ministry in Moscow.

The head of the State Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow, Yuri Titov, denied that 100 people took part in the fight.

“Information published in a number of media outlets about a brawl involving allegedly 100 people and causing bodily harm to 10 citizens is not true,” he said.

Earlier, media reported that from 70 to 100 people participated in the fight. According to REN TV, the conflict occurred when a group of men entered the Neolithic cafe. His staff told the channel that unknown people wanted to attack the owner of the cafe.

The men asked visitors to leave the cafe, after which a fight with shooting started on the street. Later, police arrived at the scene. As reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, law enforcement officers used a service weapon, making one shot up.

Many shots were fired during the incident, eyewitnesses told Ruptly.

Local activist Rustam Bilyalov said that local residents repeatedly complained about the Neolith cafe.
