The death toll from the Easter blast in Sri Lanka has risen to 359, the Associated Press reported.

A local police spokesman said the blast killed 359 people.

Sri Lanka authorities announced yesterday that the death toll was 321.

The death toll has increased as more people lost their lives among the 500 casualties during the night.

Kunasekera also arrested another 18 suspects, adding that the number of detainees related to the terrorist attack has increased to 58.

In Sri Lanka, there were simultaneous explosions in eight locations across the country, including hotels and churches.

The Sri Lankan government has been investigating links to international terrorist organizations, citing local extremist Islamic organizations such as National Tauhit Zamat and Zamiya Tulmilla To Ibrahim.

The Islamic nation (IS) yesterday set off behind this series of explosions through the propaganda media mark.
