An emergency call arrived at the ambulance service in Botkyrka township, about 22 kilometers southwest of Stockholm, on Monday morning, when a man was arrested in an elevator in the Alby Centrum shopping center.

As the news portal SVT reports, the 58-year-old has been in the elevator since Friday. He was dehydrated and not in good shape, said a spokesman for the fire department Södertörn. The man was taken to a hospital.

According to the Swedish "Expressen", the elevator was stuck in a two-storey office complex with a dental practice. Over the weekend, no one had stayed in the building, the 58-year-old either did not have a cell phone or could not use it. Whether an alarm button was missing in the lift is still unclear.
