A 72-year-old was caught in a garbage truck in Bad Rothenfelde, Lower Saxony, and was fatally injured. According to police, the accident occurred in the district of Osnabrück on Wednesday morning when the garbage truck from a roundabout wanted to turn into a road.
Accordingly, the woman wanted to cross the street and was caught by the vehicle. With life-threatening injuries, the elderly woman was flown by a rescue helicopter to a hospital. There she succumbed to her injuries in the evening.
