Eight million people saw her on TV yesterday: Liv Lisa Fries plays Charlotte Ritter in "Babylon Berlin". The series has now been broadcast on the ARD. Not only in Germany, the 27-year-old has been the topic of conversation since the series was released in October 2017.

"Hollywood has already called," she told the "Bild" newspaper. She plays in the US series "Counterpart" on the side of Jonathan Kimble Simmons. He received an Oscar in 2014 for his role in Whiplash.

Series masterpiece "Babylon Berlin": fear, violence, great art

In "Babylon Berlin", filmed after a series of novels by Volker Kutscher, the native Berliner Fries takes over the role of stenographer Charlotte Richter. The episodes one to three ran on Sunday evening in the ARD, episodes four and five will air on Thursday evening in the first.

In 2012, Fries received the Golden Camera for "She deserves it" as the "Best Newcomer", and in 2014 the Max Ophüls Prize for "And tomorrow I'm dead".
