There is no subject to be seen on the video sequences released on Friday. Also not seen is that the injured and on the ground lying 66-year-old politician is entered. The camera, which shows the crime scene, is only triggered by movement, according to the Bremen police. As a result, the attackers would be visible only by minimal delay.

A debate had arisen around the crime. The Bremer AFD had written a few hours after the attack in a press release, the perpetrators had hit Magnitz unconscious with a squared timber and then kicked against Magnitz 'head, as this had been on the ground. The video recordings do not support this representation.

According to police, the AFD politician Magnitz was jumped on Monday evening in Bremen from behind by a man. Procuratorate and police investigate for dangerous bodily injury. They also examine an alleged letter of confession, which states that Magnitz was attacked by the group "Antifaschistischer Frühling Bremen".

According to AfD data, the assumption that Magnitz was beaten with a square timber comes from two craftsmen who were standing near the crime scene. These did not observe the attack, however, according to prosecutors.
