Two 14-year-old girls have been arrested in Avon Park, Florida, for planning nine murders. A teacher of the students had discovered a folder in which the intended crimes were written down in detail, as the broadcaster BBC reports.

The girls had written on eight sheets, where they got hold of weapons and later wanted to eliminate the bodies. The 14-year-olds are reportedly in custody and awaiting a hearing in court. They are suspected of forging a murder plot in nine cases. They should also have arranged to kidnap several people.

The teacher reported that the girls had responded "hysterically" when they looked for the notes folder, the report said. He heard one girl say to the other, "I'll just say the whole thing is a joke if someone finds the folder or asks me about it."

The teacher found the folder later. According to a report by the broadcaster Fox47, it said "Private Info", "Do not open" and "Project 11/9". The papers in the portfolio also dealt with the destruction of evidence, such as the burning and burial of corpses.

Scott Dressel, spokesman for the police, told the broadcaster he did not want to accept the girls' statements that the whole thing was just a joke: "You do not joke with this kind of thing, do not joke that you want to kill people . "
