U.S. singer Ariana Grande: Apparently new love

US singer Ariana Grande (30, »Positions«) and her husband Dalton Gomez have filed for divorce after a good two years of marriage, according to media reports. Grande's lawyer had stated in the application "irreconcilable differences", reported the celebrity portal "TMZ".
According to the court documents, the couple is said to have separated last February. The 28-year-old Gomez also officially filed for divorce on Monday, People reported. Grande was in front of the camera in the spring for the film adaptation of the musical hit »Wicked« in England. According to US media reports, she is now dating "Wicked" co-star Ethan Slater.
Grande and real estate agent Gomez had announced their engagement in December 2020 after nearly a year of dating. The wedding then took place in Montecito, California, in May 2021.
In 2018, Grande was briefly engaged to comedian Pete Davidson, but the couple broke up after a few months. Previously, the singer and actress had dated rapper Mac Miller, who died in September 2018 at the age of 26 from an accidental overdose of drugs, alcohol and medication.
The year of the celebrity races does not come to an end. Previously, Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee had also announced that they would go their separate ways from now on – they were married for 27 years. With Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari, Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello, the list of celebrity races this year is getting longer and longer. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau also announced their separation at the beginning of August – after 18 years of marriage, they also ended their relationship.
