Wenzhou, August 8 (ZXS) -- On August 25, the China (Zhejiang) World Overseas Chinese New Generation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference, co-sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, was held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province.

Ding Zhongli, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, in which he fully affirmed the unique advantages and roles of overseas Chinese in the new era. He pointed out that with the deepening of opening up to the outside world, the vast number of overseas Chinese have gradually grown into an important force for promoting people-to-people diplomacy, promoting economic and trade exchanges, promoting technical cooperation, and expanding friendly exchanges at home and abroad. It is hoped that the vast number of overseas Chinese will further give full play to the unique advantages of extensive contacts and matchmaking, join hands with global partners, cultivate the advantages of scientific and technological innovation talent resources with people-oriented, grasp the frontier trend of scientific and technological innovation with an eye to the world, embrace the future to maintain a good trend of openness and cooperation, jointly create a new pattern of innovation, openness and win-win, and write a magnificent chapter of innovation and entrepreneurship of Chinese sons and daughters at home and abroad.
On behalf of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, Chen Xu, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, warmly congratulated the smooth opening of the congress and put forward ardent expectations for the vast number of overseas Chinese, especially young people from overseas Chinese circles. She said that on the new journey of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind, the new generation of overseas Chinese and Chinese is growing up and provoking great beams. The Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council will further deepen its measures to serve overseas Chinese, strengthen friendship and liaison, and provide more thoughtful services for overseas Chinese in innovation and entrepreneurship. It is hoped that the vast number of overseas Chinese will actively integrate into the new development pattern of "dual circulation" and jointly build the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road", think and work together to write a new chapter of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Wang Hao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Governor of Zhejiang Province, said in his speech that he hoped that the new generation of overseas Chinese would give full play to the advantages of broad vision, advanced concepts, and intensive intellectual and technical talents, actively matchmaking, actively invest in business, tell Zhejiang's story well, help Zhejiang introduce more funds, resources, talents and projects, and jointly share the valuable opportunities brought by Zhejiang's high-quality development, high-level opening up, and building a scientific and technological innovation highland with global influence.
Cheng Hong, vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, encouraged the new generation of overseas Chinese to pass on the torch, inherit the fine traditions of overseas Chinese, carry forward the national spirit of arduous struggle and pioneering and enterprising, give play to the new advantages of integrating diversified modern civilizations, actively participate in innovation and entrepreneurship, work hard, show the strength of overseas Chinese in the tide of economic and technological development, and make overseas Chinese contributions in realizing the dream of national rejuvenation.
Liu Xiaotao, member of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Wenzhou Municipal Party Committee, issued an invitation to overseas Chinese and Chinese people around the world, saying that Wenzhou will continue to build a people-to-people bridge of friendly exchanges and an innovation bridge of interaction and integration, play a good combination of overseas Chinese innovation town and overseas Chinese innovation fund, accelerate the construction of logistics port, commercial and trade port, financial port, headquarters port and digital port connecting five continents, and create a better environment for overseas Chinese to innovate and start businesses and share opportunities.
At the meeting, the unveiling ceremony of Wenzhou's "Overseas Chinese Innovation Town", the establishment of the "Yangtze River Delta" Overseas Chinese New Generation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance and the first batch of "Overseas Chinese Innovation Mentors" appointment ceremony were also held, and the award ceremony of the "Entrepreneurial Chinese Overseas Chinese Gathering in Wenzhou" - China (Zhejiang) World Overseas Chinese New Generation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were also held.

During the conference, activities such as the "Double Innovation" Summit Dialogue of Overseas Chinese Jing, the Digital Trade Dialogue of "Oujiang Overseas Chinese Businessmen Silk Road", and the "Blue Fellow Overseas Chinese Create Eurasia" Dialogue were held successively, attracting more than 650 people from all over the world, including young entrepreneurial elites from overseas Chinese, academicians and experts at home and abroad, overseas Chinese groups and overseas Chinese representatives.
