Regarding the request by an extra-prefectural organization to cancel each of the six swimsuit photo sessions scheduled to be held in June at a prefectural swimming pool in Saitama Prefecture, Governor Ohno of Saitama Prefecture revealed that it was not appropriate to uniformly request the cancellation of the organizers who did not violate the license conditions of the event, and instructed them to withdraw some of the requests.

In the pool area of Shirakoba and Water Park in Koshigaya City and Kawagoe Water Park in Kawagoe City, six women's swimsuit photo sessions were planned in June.

On June 6, the Prefectural Parks and Green Space Association, which manages the park, asked the organizers to cancel the event because past events had identified revealing swimsuits and poses that were considered extreme, and did not meet the conditions for permission set by the park.

When the prefectural government asked the Parks and Greenery Association about this response in detail on the 6th, it was said that some parks did not have clear conditions for permission to hold the event.

For this reason, Governor Ohno said that it was not appropriate to uniformly request cancellation of organizers who did not violate the license conditions, and instructed them to withdraw their cancellation requests for four of the six events.

At a press conference on the 12th, Governor Ohno stated, "There is freedom of expression, and the public does not interfere in the photo session, and since it cannot be held in a way that has ambiguous rules, I would like to see common rules established for all venues."

On the 12th, the Parks and Greenery Association informed the organizers of the event of the withdrawal of the cancellation request and apologized.

In the future, the Parks and Greenery Association will discuss the conditions for permission for photo sessions at prefectural swimming pools with experts.
