Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has passed an anti-gay and transgender law that provides severe penalties for same-sex relations or "promotion" of homosexuality, in a move that sparked a wave of condemnation from it.

The episode (2023/6/9) of the program "Above the Authority" highlighted US President Joe Biden's condemnation of the law and his threat of sanctions, including restrictions on the entry of officials from the black country to the United States, which was done against the speaker of the Ugandan parliament, Anita Ambien, as a visa previously granted to her to enter the United States was canceled.

The episode monitored the denunciation of Ugandan Muslim parliamentarian Osman Basalirua for the position of Western countries, in which they threatened to cut off their aid to Uganda, and his call on his government to seek help from Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE, adding, "This deficit caused by cutting aid can easily be compensated."

The episode of "Above Power" also detailed a report issued by the Spanish Catholic Bishops' Conference that revealed that hundreds of minors were victims of sexual abuse and abuse in Spanish churches.

At least 927 victims have reported attacks by members of the Catholic Church since the forties, and the report said that the number of victims could still be increased, and that the number would be updated as new data was collected.

According to the report, more than 99% of the aggressors are male, half of them are clerics, and more than 63% of them died because of their old age.

José Gabriel Vera, spokesman for the Spanish Bishops' Conference, said the Office for the Protection of Minors had received 728 certificates of sexual abuse against minors within the Catholic Church, some of which pointed to the same aggressor as a number of victims.

According to observers, the Spanish bishops' report is the latest in a series of scandals revealed by reports and investigations into similar cases that took place in churches in America, Britain, France, Bolivia, Ireland and Germany.
